Day 2- Oxford Street:

Day 2 was dedicated to getting mobiles and Bank accounts. We decided to go to Oxford St. Oxford Street is so busy! We signed up for HSBC accounts very easily and also to Vodafone on a pay as you go service. The thing that really got us was the lack of service. In the majority of stores you are not asked if you need help, even if you are looking right at the sales people. In the Vodafone store, I was ready to buy a phone from this guy and instead of him saying to me ‘Ok so are you going to take this one’ he said ‘Have you been to the other phone stores to check their prices?’ – Seriously? At the bank our bank assistant was really helpful which left us pleasantly surprised.
