Flights to London

We flew out of Sydney on Wednesday 28th January. Mum and Dad and Sam and Jac took Daniel and me to the airport. It was pretty emotional saying goodbye to my family, but we were okay as we knew they were only a phone call away. I did some quick duty free shopping before we got on the plane- just some chocolate and alcohol supplies.
Luckily our plane was barely full so we could share 3 seats between us. Unfortunately we had a drunk sit in front of us who kept disturbing us by showing us he had some chilli powder and also because he couldn’t find his headphones (which if he sat still for longer than 30 minutes he would find-very annoying). He was laying into the bourbons pretty thick and fast so much so that the air hostess had to stop serving him which he didn’t really appreciate.
Thai Airways were very good to fly with. Their meals were tasty and they had excellent service. There was a good variety of movies from old to new plus games and other activities. I particularly enjoyed playing Mario Bros. You can also follow a map of where you are flying and it shows you the stats of the flight including how long you have to go and the outside air temperature.
We got to Bangkok at about 10pm and the airport was packed! So many planes were departing close to midnight. Our next plane was full but that didn’t worry us as our plan was to sleep as much was could because we would be landing in London at 6:30AM. Although we slept a fair amount, we were pretty tired when we got in. We had been travelling for over 24 hours after all.
